Expectant Parents

We fully understand that the months leading up to childbirth are filled with different emotions, such as joy, excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a bit of nervousness.

At GPM Pediatrics, we are here for you – to begin working together even before your childbirth. We welcome you to schedule a prenatal consultation to view our offices, meet our staff, and discuss any questions or concerns you may have with our providers. Our prenatal consultations are offered by appointment on Tuesday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings in our office at no cost.

We also have lactation specialists and postnatal services, which you can find out more about during your consultation. For postnatal services, you can read more below.

We prefer to start supporting our patients and their parents, even before childbirth. Being a parent is an exciting journey and we’re here to support from the very start!

Please note that it is extremely important you add your newborn to your insurance policy once your baby is born. Most insurance plans have a 30-day grace period. Once the grace period has expired and the baby is not added on the insurance policy, the parents will be responsible for charges endured. Please remember to bring your insurance card, co-pay, and patient forms to your first visit. For more information regarding insurance, please visit our Insurance & Billing page.

First Appointment

A few weeks before delivery, call the office to let us know you are expecting. You may want to download and fill out our paperwork at that time. When the happy day has arrived, you can tell the hospital staff that you have chosen us as your pediatrician.

What to Bring

  • Any paperwork from the hospital, including hearing screen results and immunization records.
  • Any available insurance information (often only the parent's insurance is available at the first visit).
  • Plenty of diapers and an extra set of clothes.
  • Please complete the new patient forms prior to the visit to help make the appointment as smooth as possible.
